Unnecessary Excitement

Hello Darlings. Once again I disappeared for awhile. I sincerely apologize. I have been busy do whats really important to me, but I have thought about the site a lot. Before I continue I want to warn everyone that this post will be long.

Lets start with site talk. I really want to change severs and get a different name. My server gets on my nerves sometimes, and I see other hosts that give more space for less money. I don’t know I just think I’m ready to change. I don’t think think will happen anytime soon though. I want a sit a little bit more organizes, slightly professional, but still personal. Yes, I’m complicated. Anywho, when it comes to names I don’t think I actual want to use my name in a site. Why? Well, my name is common for starters. More importantly though I use my full name for my copyright name. Example: instead of “Ashley Egan” its “Ashley Marie Egan”. I do this because my last name represents my dad, and I wanted to also represent my mom. Her middle name is Maire to, so that’s why I use my whole name. I also like my name. Could you see “ashleymarieegan.com”, that’s a lot. I want to use “ame.com/net/org”, but all three are taken!!!! So here’s my list of possibles:

1. ashleyme.com – I’m not sure if I like it, but it gets to the point.
2. darlingash/es.com – So my user name on many sites is “Darling Ashes”. I could use that or “Darling Ash”. I like the word darling, I think it’s beautiful.
3. darlingame.com – same principle of number two.
4. ash-meadow.com – is taken…darn!

That’s all I have right now. I’ll have to see if I can come up with something more creative that hasn’t been taken. So yeah, what do you think?

Moving on. So I have so big important news. I “finished” my book. I say “finished”, because I still have to edit it twice: once for feeling in plot holes and twice for gamer errors and removing unnecessary info. Of course in the act of getting published a professional editor would edit it again. That’s just how things work. So far on Microsoft Word my book stats (unedited) are: 431 pages and 262, 534 words. I’ve been really excited lately. I’m loving the editing. I get to re-read my book, and make it better. I’m only on chapter two of the first editing phase though. I know some of you would like to read a synopsis (Mallory), but I don’t have one written out yet. I’m bad at summarizing, it’s something I’ll have to work on. Though here are some key points:

1. The heroines name is Dex. Most of the book is through her point of view.
2. The book takes place during her senior year, her junior year ended in a great tragedy.
3. The book is Sci-Fi, but grounded in reality. It has romance, drama, crime, horror, comedy, and of course sci-fi.
4. My characters have abilities much like X-Men and Heroes. Though that’s about all it has in common with those stories. My book is really dark, and nearly everything about it is unexpected (or at least I hope so).
5. The story is more about human interaction then science, but their are some scientific aspects.
6. There is a lot of controversial sub-plots in my book.
7. It’s for young adults, and I’m hoping it will be a three part series (trilogy).

So there is a VERY loose description of what my books about. I think people how don’t like sci-fi could like this book, but it depends on why they don’t like sci-fi. I really love my story, it’s different, dark, and emotional. The characters are very real; some are very likable, some are not(they’re not supposed to be). So yeah, now I’d like to share my books play-list!!!! Some of the songs might change as I edit the chapters; so if they do I’ll post a revised version later.
