Guilty Pleasures…minus the guilt!

First off, once again I want to thank everyone for their comments on my photography. I am currently trying to decided the best way to incorporate it more into the site. I’m trying to decided what script or program to use or if I should keep it as a photo-blog. For now just click HERE to see my photography.

Also, thank you all of your feedback on what you like to see in blogs. It seems the majority of you prefer my blog to be of the personal variety with my photography at hand. This works well for me, because honestly I’m too opinionated to be an inspirational blogger. So on to the post!

Recently I’ve been wondering why guilty pleasures are guilty. There is really no reason to feel any guilt. Think about it, a normal person might find chocolate to be a guilty pleasure. Why? Why should you feel guilty after eating something you love? If your afraid you’ll gain weight just run for thirty minutes or do yoga. Don’t let the innocent things you love make you feel bad.

Now lets say your guilty pleasure is a little more X rated, like porn. Okay, as long as your watching staged consensual porn, whats the big whoop? Those people get paid for being in the videos. So there’s nothing to be guilty about. Get your rocks off and move on with your day!! I know some religious people would disagree with me, but everyone is different. Think of it this way, if the person dosen’t judge your religion why should you judge their browser history? Because at the end of the day that’s all porn real is, browser history.

WHEN YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD: If your “guilty” pleasure involves and type of criminal activity; violent or not then you should feel guilty. Against the law is against the law, and even if it’s some minuscule guilt should be present!!!!

My point is that unless you know of a reason(criminal) to really feel bad about your “guilty pleasure” then just let it go. Drop the guilt and embrace the pleasure whether its shopping, eating, 90′s movies, or porno. Make it a movement and drop the guilt.

I’ll start. My pleasures that not longer have “guilty” in front of them.
1. Fan Videos- I love looking up fan videos on YouTube. Especially ones that center around Heores character Sylar. For a long time I kept it secret, because I didn’t want anyone to think I was a “fangirl”. Well FUCK that SHIT. I’m not obsessed I just enjoy the creativity and unique capabilities of other fans.

2. Eating sweets past 12:00 AM- Once a upon a time I would feel really bad if I ate any sweets past twelve. Everyone says it goes right to your stomach, thighs, and ass. Well screw it!!! I’m a sweets freak, and I love what I eat. So I’ll eat it with pride.

3. Alone time- My niece lives with me, and comes to my door every five minutes. I end up having to yell at her to go away, but I need my time to myself. So I can work on my photography, writing, and the site. I no longer feel and about this, because I in retrospect I spend A LOT of time with her. It’s just a lesson to me that children really do whine when they don’t get what they want.

4. Oh the charities- Occasionally people will try to make me feel bad for supporting more animal/nature charities then ones for humans. It’s not that I don’t care for humans, but everyone seems to want to help their fellow man. It’s harder for me to feel bad for people when I see the cruelty and torture done to animals. Then read about people who willing get fur coats knowing that pain they go through. We all go through pain, and there are people who need help. We all have things we are passionate about. You take care of the people, and I’ll take care of the animals.
